Our Farm
Baby Animals...stay tuned for more!
"Be not afraid!" The words of our beloved Pope Blessed John Paul II, soon to become a Saint on April 27th, 2014!!!
Mini-Farming on 1.5 acres in rural Western Massachusetts is fun with six children! Our first calling in life is to raise children up in the Catholic Faith. Children are the greatest joy in life! We have a calling to family farm life and feel that there is much value in this lifestyle to teach the children responsibilities and virtues. (It is also practical to raise a lot of our own food in this world of high grocery prices!) We left the city 6 years ago in search of a more simple life in tune with God's will. We can't think of a better way to cultivate our relationships with Our Lord Jesus Christ than in a rural setting.
Meet the Jaracz family:

Tom is a cradle Catholic and Heather converted to the Faith on April 11, 1998

and married on August 24, 2002.

Sugar Valley Farm
Our name, Sugar Valley Farm, came because life is sweet! On our small farm, we have honeybees, laying hens, sheep & lambs, a heifer calf (a young cow that is not giving milk yet), pigs, and meat chickens in season. There are also berry bushes, young fruit trees, and a small stand of grapes just planted last year. Our vegetable garden is the most amount of work, but is well worth fighting the weeds and pests!
Most of the farming here is to raise food for our family, but we do sell honey and eggs on a small scale. We donate a major portion of those sales to the local crisis pregnancy center. We think it is important to support the pro-life cause!
Thanks for visiting! I hope you enjoy learning about our adventures in the faith and agrarian life!
